Tools that help people use AI well, and software built with communities in mind

Awna makes open-source and free tools for working with AI, and takes on software and AI work with the communities it serves.

Awna is Levantine Arabic for the harvest custom where neighbours help each other bring the crop in, unpaid, and nobody goes home until everyone's is in.

About Flightdeck

Voice

Open source · early

A kit for building your own assistant that answers decisions the way you would. It learns from your own Claude Code history, says how sure it is, and hands a question back when it's yours to make.

Raw data stays on your Mac. MIT licence.

Software and AI work with communities

Awna builds with the people the work is for. Four kinds of work:

Community groups

Software for the organisations that hold a neighbourhood or a movement together.

Peer-to-peer tools

Decentralized tools that people run and own themselves.

Marginalized groups

Work with and for the people most systems leave out.

Data for equity

Data and engineering that show where things are unfair, so they can change.
